WELCOME TO THE TEXAS SOCIETY FOR
CLINICAL SOCIAL WORK

The Texas Society for Clinical Social Work addresses the needs and concerns of our
profession. Members possess clinical social work training with graduate degrees in
social work. Members work in various settings, including non-profits, agencies,
hospitals, foster care facilities, schools, state and federal agencies, and universities, as well
as in the independent practice of social work.

Our membership is representative of a spectrum of theoretical understandings,
methodologies and psychotherapeutic interventions. TSCSW sponsored conferences
and workshops bring experts in their area of expertise to further our continuing
education. Local study groups offer a forum for professional growth, mentoring, and
networking. TSCSW maintains strong state and national lobbying presence giving voice
to the issues affecting the practice of clinical social work and our clients. TSCSW is a
member of the MH Coalition in Texas which monitors legislation filed in the Texas
Legislature. The MH Coalition in Texas is comprised of the licensed health care member
professional organizations. TSCSW is an affiliated society with the Clinical Social Work
Association which is the national voice of clinical social work in the United States.
